Luxor International Airport is not Cairo. There is no metro, no app-hailed taxi system that a foreign traveler can rely on without local knowledge. What exists is a strip of drivers outside the arrivals hall, most of whom work to earn the highest fare from the most disoriented passenger. A tired traveler who has been on a plane for eight hours and does not know the fare structure is at a disadvantage.
I offer private airport transfer because the first hour of a trip sets the tone for everything that follows. Arriving to find a driver holding a card with your name, a clean and air-conditioned vehicle, and a clear understanding of where you are going and what the drive will take — that is a different beginning from negotiating a fare on the pavement at midnight.
The driver I use is someone I know personally. He is paid a fixed rate — no commission, no financial incentive to take a longer route or stop at a shop. He monitors your live flight status and meets you when you land, not when you were scheduled to land.

Common questions
- How does the driver find me at the airport?
- The driver meets you in the arrivals hall holding a sign with your name clearly printed. If you cannot find him immediately — which sometimes happens in a busy arrivals hall — call the number that will be sent to you in the booking confirmation. He will be no more than thirty meters away.
- What happens if my flight is delayed?
- The driver monitors live flight status and adjusts his arrival accordingly. You do not need to call anyone. If there is a significant delay, I will be in contact with you directly by WhatsApp.
- How much does the transfer cost?
- The cost is agreed in advance and confirmed in your booking reply. There are no supplements for late flights, early morning departures, or standard luggage. The only variable is party size — a larger vehicle for a larger group costs more.
- Can I arrange both arrival and departure transfers together?
- Yes — I find this simpler. One conversation, one coordination point, and the departure timing is agreed before you arrive rather than scrambled the evening before you leave. Tell me both flight details and I will handle both transfers.
- What vehicle will pick me up?
- A private air-conditioned car suitable for up to four passengers with luggage, or a minivan for larger groups. The vehicle is clean and the driver is not a commission-based dispatch — he is paid a fixed rate with no financial incentive to take a longer route or stop at a shop.
- What is the drive from Luxor airport like?
- Approximately twenty minutes to East Bank hotels, thirty-five to forty minutes to West Bank properties. The road is straightforward and well-maintained. At night the city is cooler and the traffic lighter than during the day.
